Art Docent
Chair:   Noelle Keary & Tricia Grover
Description:  

This program consists of classroom discussion and hands-on art projects. Volunteers are needed to work with a partner to present an existing 40-minute classroom program.

 
Book Fair
Chair:   Kathy Wilson and Helene Garland
Description:  

A book fair held in the gym for 3 days with the opportunity to purchase books for all grade levels and fill teacher and Media Center wish lists. We need help setting up after-school, selling books and tearing down when event is over. Event dates-October 4-Octber 6.  October 4 for Teaches Only.

 
Economy Shop
Chair:   Tamsen Gallagher & Maryann Otero
Description:  

This consignment shop is jointly run by all of the PTO’s in town and generates thousands of dollars each year for our schools. We receive our share of the profits only if we fill a required number of shifts. Volunteers are needed one hour per month on Mondays to help with the bookkeeping and markdowns, and on Tuesdays-Fridays and the first Saturday of the month for the regular selling shifts of only 2-3 hours per month. Training and opening dates for Economy Shop will be announced. Please consider getting involved at the Economy Shop, our community and school are depending on you! You may click on one or more shifts below. The appropriate chairperson for final scheduling will contact you.

 
Environmental Committee
Chair:   Michelle Capeci
Description:  

This committee is dedicated to bringing information to the children as well as the parents about the environment, recycling and conservation.

 
Fifth Grade Reps.
Chair:   Anna Manfredi, Jen Manteau, Noelle Keary
Description:  

The 5th grade parent representatives will work together to organize first grade activities and fundraising such as pizza lunch, the memory book, and the NYC trip.

 
Gift Wrap Distribution
Chair:   Helene Garland & Regina DeFalco
Description:  

Our very successful Gift Wrap Campaign will be held again this fall. Help is needed with the distribution on October 22nd.

 
Harvest Festival

Description:  

Come lend a hand in our Pumpkin Patch on October 21st. Children and their families will be able to purchase Halloween pumpkins and participate in other fun games and activities.

 
Kids Night
Chair:   Annna Manfredi & Jen Manteau
Description:  

Kids Nights are fun-filled events sponsored by the PTO. Help is needed to organize grade levels. Volunteers are needed at the events.

 
Mathletes

Description:  

Please help volunteer after school. Runs alternate Wednesdays during the winter months.12/15/10, 1/05/11, 1/19/11, 2/02/11, 2/16/11, 3/02/11 & 3/16/11.

 
Media Center
Chair:   Laura Chumas
Description:  

Media center volunteers are needed to assist the children, lend a hand at the circulation desk, and shelve books. Shifts are twice a month and can be split with a friend. It’s fun and no experience is necessary. If you choose to volunteer for this position you will be contacted as to the day and time your child’s class is scheduled.

 
Military Bridge

Description:  

Join us on Thursday, Jan 20th for this popular and successful fundraiser. It’s a fun evening out! Snow date January 27th.

 
Newcomers Rep.

Welcome new families throughout the year and organize the Newcomer's Tea in September 15, 2010.

 
School Spirit Wear

Help is needed sorting and assembling orders in late fall/winter.

 
Science Fair

A fun evening for the children to create and demonstrate their own science experiments on Friday, November 19th.

 
Theme Day

This year’s Theme Day (Friday, April 8, 2011) will be "Night at the Museum". Theme Day requires a great number of volunteers to make it successful. Please consider signing up to help with this very rewarding event.
